The Booragoon Vet Clinic Story

Newly renovated and re-branded in 2022, Booragoon Vet is so excited to be bringing our special blend of technical skill, personalised problem solving, and passion for animal health and wellness to the Melville community. With a loving, experienced veterinary and nursing team, we are committed to making sure that our client family feel just as cared for as their gorgeous pets, with every interaction designed to build trust, provide individualised care plans and solutions, and make sure the animals under our care receive both superb clinical support AND lots of love and cuddles.

Our Mission

Our focus is on making sure we are always working as a team with our clients, making them a genuine partner in the way we are caring for their pet. We operate with total transparency and honesty, providing all the unbiased information our partners need to make the best choices for their pet; and then we follow through with providing that chosen care with love, skill and stress-free support.

It is our privilege to take care of both you and your pet through the good times, the bad times, the tough decisions and the successes, all the while respecting your values and needs and acting in your and your pet’s best interests. We are not here to do the cheapest thing, the fastest thing, the easiest thing, or to blindly follow protocols – we’re here to do the right thing for you and your family, as defined by you.

DR. TIEGAN BROCKWAY

Vet Clinic Booragoon Melville VetsDr. Tiegs is one of those lucky people who always knew what her career would be: she wanted to be a vet since she first learned what one was at about age 5, and went on to graduate with honours in 2005.  She’s been working happily as a small animal clinician ever since, and was so happy to find a clinic home in Booragoon Vet in 2015 – she has just loved the opportunity to meet and form wonderful relationships with the beautiful people and animals in the local community.  A bit of a perfectionist, in her work she loves gentle, neat surgical work, perfect tailor-made solutions for pet problems that allow her to work as a team with their families to get them happy and healthy and keep them that way, and the perfect sound of a cat’s purr when snuggled correctly!  Outside of work you’ll find her hiking, running, yoga-ing, travelling, taking photos and hanging out with her three rescue cats; and yes, you’ll probably see her walking or brunching in the Melville area and accosting people and their dogs for love and pats!

HEAD NURSE BREANNA TOWNSEND

Vet Clinic Booragoon Melville VetsVet Nurse Bree has had a love for animals her whole life, starting out at the tender age of 6 rescuing injured birds in the yard! She has evolved that love into a passion for animal welfare and promoting exceptional quality of life for all creatures great and small. Outside of work, when Bree isn’t reading an unfathomable number of books all at the same time, she spends her time training her rescue dog and taking her cat on Bunnings trips! Bree runs the clinic with love and efficiency, and is our resident expert on all things pet food, grooming and keeping the vets in line – so anything you need, she’s your girl!

VETERINARY NURSE JONATHAN

Veterinary Nurse JonathanJon’s love of, and fascination with, animals developed at a very tender age, watching and assisting his Grandad with their enormous number of pets and rescued animals. This progressed into working at kennels and doing dog walking as a teenager, and from there he was hooked! Before becoming a nurse, Jon was a qualified pet groomer with 10 yrs of experience, even having run his own Doggie daycare and grooming service for a few years before joining the Veterinary industry full time back in 2016. Jon thrives on all aspects of nursing, especially patient care, surgical nursing, hospital patient management and training junior nurses, and we are so excited to have him on board to care for your beloved pets. Outside of work, you will find him caring for his menagerie of pets, hiking, at the beach or curled up with a book and at least one furry companion, probably several!

TRAINEE NURSE COURTNEY

Trainee Nurse CourtneyAnimal Attendant (and now Trainee Nurse) Courtney has wanted to work with animals since she was a little girl; she grew up watching RSPCA on TV with her parents and would always tell her Mum that’s what she wanted to do when she got older! For the last 5 years, Courtney has worked at multiple boarding kennels, a farm sanctuary and volunteered at animal rescues before coming to work at Booragoon Vet and Cat Hotel as an Animal Attendant, taking care of our beloved boarding kitties. She loved the work so much she decided to become a Vet Nurse, and was accepted into a traineeship program at the end of 2022. Outside of work, Courtney dedicates her time to raising her son Atlas and can’t wait to turn him into a crazy animal dude just like his mum! Court is especially passionate about animal welfare, and treats every one of her patients as if they were her very own.
